We hosted you in Milton Keynes recently. It was a great night and the feedback has been great with fantastic content. Hi Mike,

We have created a new service that is going to change the way organizations communicate with their customers. http://www.karatasi.com is a service that allows users to receive important documents from service providers such as (telephone, gas, insurance, online stores) hence reducing paper clutter at home or office.

Think about the possibility of receiving; your telephone bill, your credit card statement, your council tax bill, car insurance renewal, bank statement, VAT Reminder, Amazon Purchase receipt/invoice, life insurance policy document ALL in one place. A place that will guarantee (100%) that there is no spam since Karatasi.com is a whole new concept and doesn't use e-mail technology.

Having thought about that, imagine, wouldn't it be really cool that you can search for for any text within all your documents. For example, you can search for the exact transaction when you purchased a gift for your son 5 years ago by just specifying the name of the gift and what you get is the bank statement/credit card statement showing that transaction.

For the self-employed, think about the possibility of providing your accountant access to a specific tax accounting period's document within no more than two clicks. And also remember that you will have ALL your documents even after 6 years just in case the HMRC needs to verify your accounts.

This is what http://www.karatasi.com/ is all about. Much more can be discussed in detail such as benefit to companies (as in why would companies be interested in this), how money will be made (business model).

Current methods that would seem to rival http://www.karatasi.com include receiving documents as e-mail attachment (by the way http://www.karatasi.com can extract email attachments into registered user's account and discard the rest of the e-mail) and organizing them into folders. Problem here is you still have to carry on fire-fighting spam and the likely hood of missing an e-mailed bill or invoice is high since that e-mail could be mistaken for spam or is sandwiched between other e-mails and you easily miss it.

Mike I'd like to talk to someone like you who has been in the technology business for while and to here what you think about the service. About 6 months ago, I spoke to a consultant who told me that this idea is just too big as it is going to change the way business work and that I'd need to get dialog with large companies such as Tesco, Asda, Amazon, BT then he could help me create a business plan. I now feel that I have an idea that is going to change every individual's online experience and will also change the way organizations operate.

BTW I've already purchased my ticket for the Business Growth Workshop in November and can't wait to spend time with you and I know it'll be worth every penny.

Mike, I've enjoyed your presentations and book tremendously. Your insight and suggestions seem really pragmatic and sensible.

I'm currently in the process of trying to define a new business solutions entity, based on my deep experience of the UK IT industry having worked for both SAP and Adobe across 20+ years.

The problem I am struggling with is that to start a new entity in the enterprise space, it is my view that you need the "sponsorship" of a major organisation. This sponsorship is not so much for actual resources, it is for the required political support. You do not seem to cover this in your recommendations. Basically the UK IT industry is relatively small and the major consultancies and systems integrators command tremendous influence over most industries. This can effectively make some industries become a "closed shop". For example, I have worked for many years in the Public Sector but to thrive in this industry, you will need the support of BT, Accenture or Capgemini. Above this, the government themselves (and industry managers at BERR) command a wider influence. They advocate that they are encouraging innovation, and are trying to promote UK industry. I totally support this in principle but their actual behaviour leaves an aweful lot to be desired. The Uk is in an interesting position for the IT industry. On the one side you have the US operations with companies like Adobe and Microsoft, and on the other side you have the EU operations with companies like SAP. So to try get a major UK business to "sponsor" a new independent start-up is very difficult in my opinion.

Any suggestions?.

Incidently, I have deep understanding of emerging Adobe technologies and they represent a major opportunity for innovation in industries like Public Sector and Financial Services. These could be of great interest to Garlik. I have spoken to your secretary (Hilary) about trying to arrange a meeting but nothing has been scheduled. I don't want to waste your time. If you do have any free time (even evenings) then would love to pinch an hour from you. A colleague of mine, Lord Renwick, recommended your offices.

Dear Mike,

I watched your presentation last night at the Metropole with great interest.

Everyone thinks I have a great idea - good for the ego - but I'd like your "red lights" so that I can overcome them and stretch the idea as much as possible.

My business is called admoogle - ("advertising movie on Google")

I offer to add free bespoke sound and vision to Google AdWords as I believe that any business regardles of its size or budget will be able to run their own "tv advert" on Google over the next 5 years.

The problem is that most businesses don't know how to create a 300x250 pixel advert that looks similar to a BMW or Chanel tv advert.


It's a repeating revenue model as I am remunerated if the Google Analytics report shows that 75%+ of the click to play video advert has been viewed.

Proofing is simple, via web link and the advertiser can have as many re-proofs as necessary in order to get exactly the video ad. that they require.

Google don't charge for the advert to be "clicked and played".
They only charge the advertiser for a second click that takes the user through to a relevant advertisers landing page.

With ITV dropping out of the top 250 recently and Channel 4 cutting back by 15% and asking the Government for £150 million due to poor advertising revenues I believe that the admoogle model will turn traditional tv advertising on it's head forever.

Your feedback will be invaluable to ensure that I bring admoogle to market effectively.
